To be continued - South America

After Noosa I travelled via Rainbow Beach to Hervey Bay. In Rainbow Beach I had a walk to the Carlo Sandblow which is a sand dune in the middle of the cooloola national park (forest). That was very fascinating and the the water close to the dune was the most amazing and the clearest I've ever seen. So beautiful! From Hervey Bay I did a tour to the Fraser Island which is the biggest sand island of the world. We've been 25 people and one funny tour guide from Austria. The first day we drove along the 75 miles beach to a few Viewpoints etc. All the driving on the island was really funny because it was so bouncy everywhere, there's no proper road only sand roads or the beach. The second day we started pretty early so that we were able to see the sunrise which was simply amazing. After that we explored Lake Wabby and Lake Mckenzie. The first one is in a great location. Letzten Mittwoch bin ich über Coolangatta nach Surfers Paradise. Sehr typische Ferienorte und mit dem perfekten Wetter hier waren die 2 Orte quasi der Urlaub vom Reisen. Strand, Baden, am Pool lesen usw. Danach ging es nach Noosa, wo ich auch eine Weile länger geblieben bin. Am ersten Tag war ich mit 4 anderen Mädels bei den Eumundi markets. Der war einfach super, von internationalem Essen, Kunst und Antikes, live Musik bis selbstgemachte Kleidung, Schmuck und mehr. Am Nachmittag habe ich mit einer Amerikanerin noch den Coastal Walk gemacht, der wieder einmal wunderschön war. Den schönen Tag haben wir dann noch mit einem Wein abends ausklingen lassen. Am darauffolgenden Tag habe bin ich durch ganz Noosa gelaufen und habe einige sehr schöne Ecken gefunden. Zum Beispiel der Lake Weyba, ein unglaublich stiller Ort, wo ich das erste mal frei lebende Pelikane gesehen habe! Danach habe ich noch eine Gegend für Reiche entdeckt, wo alle Villen einen eigenen Steg und mind. ein eigen...

Zunächst einmal nicht wundern, ich schreibe nun immer mal in englisch und deutsch abwechselnd, je nachdem wie ich Lust habe, da ich sowohl den neuen Bekanntschaften also auch den älteren der Familie gerecht werden möchte. Langsam aber sicher nähere ich mich der Golden Coast. Ich mache aber viele kleine Stops auf dem Weg weiter in den Norden, da ich die kleineren Orte meist schöner finde und die Hostels familiärer sind. So habe ich in den letzte Tagen Stops in Newcastle, Port Macquarie und Coffs Harbour gemacht und bin nun in Byron Bay.  In Newcastle und Port Macquerie habe ich lange Walks entlang der Küste gemacht, wo es atemberaubend schöne Aussichten und Strände gab. Hi, Another week passed. I've been the whole week in Sydney after one night in Canberra. Canberra is very weird to me. It's been designed as a new capital city and you feel it. It's empty and kind of dead. It might sound weird but I didn't expect it that extreme neither. The town is actually pretty but something isn't right. So there wasn't much to do. At least the view from the roof terrace was great. As great as the view from the deck here in Sydney. Simply beautiful! Of course I've been to the 'must do' places: the Opera house, harbour bridge, darling harbour, the rocks etc. It's not as beautiful as melbourne but I like it here as well. One day I've been to the blue mountains in the west of sydney. It was beautiful there though a bit too touristic. Additionally the weather changed completely from sunshine to heavy rain.
