week 24.-30.11.
Hi guys!
The following post (and only this one) is in English 'cause somebody asked me doing it.
Last week was very exhausting. We had to do the stock take for all the containers on base because of the orditor who's coming next monday and checks every bit and piece we have in our stock. That took a long time because first of all we have a lot of fully packed containers and secondly we had to be very careful with counting everything (more than twice...) 'cause the orditor is going to write a report which is available for donators as well.
After work I spend a lot of time with the family from tanzania and Chadrac. We went to restaurants or cooked some food together and they tried to teach me how to play guitar but I think it's hopeless... :D I really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them.
Friday evening Marina (an employee of JAM international) invited me to her place and we went to a pub to meet some friends of her. That was a great night! Nice music, nice drinks and a nice location. Yesterday she drove me back to base in the morning so that I could join Chadrac and John to visit a friend at his holiday house in Hartbeespoort. It's close to a big lake (Hartbeespoort dam) and the Magaliesberg in a very very beautiful area. We had a braai together, relaxed in the pool, talked a lot and enjoyed the great view.
I immediately fell in love with that place and I didn't want to leave because of that peaceful and relaxed atmosphere there. The house is as awesome as the view, such a great architecture. I still dream of it...

Yesterday was the first advent (incredible!) and that's the reason why Trish and I baked bread and some biscuits based on her mother's recipes.(so really nice and traditional stuff :))
I have to admit that I don't feel like Christmas at all (which is weird and very unusual for me, most of you know that...) but I try my best to realise that's almost Christmas and in fact the end of my stay at JAM as well.
I hope you're more successful getting ready for Christmas and that you won't complain too much about my english post :D have a nice week!
